The Dreaded Deadly Marketing Knowledge Minutia
If you have been in the online marketing game for some time now, then you probably know what I am talking about. I’m talking about that black hole of thought patterns that causes us to believe that we need more trinkets, tools, and brain power in order to get where we want to be in our MLM business. Watch the video below for a better understanding of what I mean.
If left to it’s own embedded instincts, the mind can sometimes turn on us without us even realizing it. That is why conditioning our minds for successful habits and traits on a daily basis is absolutely crucial. If you are not doing this, and you’re not keeping yourself aware of your paradigms and subconscious thoughts and patterns, you will end up hurting the growth and success of your business and your life overall, if you haven’t already done so. This poor emotional and mental conditioning can lead to your business failing so rapidly that it will seem like a kamikaze dive bomber going down.
So, aside from the action steps I gave you in the video, what else can you do to ensure this isn’t a problem you have to worry about any longer?
First, you can start off by beginning your day, each and every day, with a little personal development and conditioning. My suggestion is to start out by going to Youtube and simply typing in the names of some of the well known Personal Development and success training guys and gals out there. A few examples would be: Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor, Brian Tracy, Anthony Robbins, Robin Sharma… and the list goes on. This should give you a good start to your day and set your mind up for a positive outlook and focus throughout the day.
The next step, is only for those who are ready to take their life to the next level… FAST. This is for those of you who can’t afford to wait any longer for the success you desire in all areas of your life, and especially financially and mentally. For those of you who are willing to accept success and stop being passed up by the others in your businesses who are getting the results you want, I am willing to personally help you get those results. Those results that make you get goosebumps all over your body and cause your heart to skip a beat…the results that put you on stage at the company conventions, receiving bonus checks of $10,000 and more… the results that you have wanted for so long that you can literally picture all of your dreams and goals so vividly that it damn near seems real!
If you are ready for those kinds of results, message me on Skype at RJohnson8911 or on Facebook so we can get started right away.
I am looking forward to hearing from you all!
Yours in mental clarity,
Ryan DJ Johnson

Your Company page is making you lose money in USANA, Numis, and ViSalus.
It’s something that has killed relationships, caused people to “un-friend” you on Facebook, and left thousands and thousands of company distributors financially and emotionally broke and sunk like Blackbeard’s Pirate ship.
Anyone who wants to be successful in this industry has to be able to sell. (I know…scary huh?)

No, I don’t mean that you have to wear a suit and tie and try to twist your prospect’s arm to get them to join your business or buy your products. I mean you have to be able to offer your prospect something that is of higher value to them than what they are giving you for it. Selling does not always have to relate to the exchange of money for something.
When you send your prospects to your company website, you are attempting to sell them. If you have a company landing page that asks for your prospect’s name and e-mail or some other contact information, that is a sale. If marketing this website on the internet, this is usually the first thing your future Numis, USANA, or ViSalus downline members will see, so shouldn’t this be considered an important step?
If you don’t have something of immense value to offer your prospects, you won’t be getting their credit card number to join them into your business, nor will you be getting them to be placed on autoship for your products, and you will be very lucky to even get their contact information.
So it is no surprise that getting people to buy or join can be very difficult.
Simply put: Your prospects will hand you their credit card for those products or that business opportunity because they view your business and products as being more valuable to them than anything else they could do with that money.
Your company’s landing page is generally nothing more than a glorified brochure with videos and testimonials that just flood into your prospect’s face with no real clear answer to your prospect’s questions. You have information on there about everything from your company’s history, products, leadership, compensation plan, and distributor testimonials. Bottom line: this web page confuses 99% of the people that visit it, and they skim through it and go on to the next opportunity they find.
Simplicity and speed are crucial to your success in this industry. I used to have an old teach who always told us to live by the K.I.S.S. principle- Keep.It.Simple.Stupid.
To be completely honest, your prospects love to be told what to do and think, but they want it to happen fast. So the more simple you keep things, the better for you and everyone else, and the more money you will make. Rather than your prospects running into your company page and being smacked in the face with 30 different things, send them to a short, simple and clean landing page that provides a solution to a problem. Be honest and upfront with your prospects.
For example: “Enter your name and e-mail address in the box on this page for our free e-mail series that will show you the exact steps to building a successful business online, in half the time it takes most people that don’t know this information.”
People don’t like seeing a page that is going to take them more than a few minutes or even seconds of their time to check out and get the point.
We as humans are generally creatures of habit. For example, if you were to pitch your USANA, Numis, or ViSalus business to a friend of yours who is skeptical, and they told you they wanted to think about it and get back to you, you can bet that they are going to go home and look for information that reinforces their suspicions about your opportunity. If they are skeptical, they might go to Google and type in ” Company X Scam” or “Is Company X legal?” or “Company X complaints.”
If you give your prospect a ton of information about your company or product right away, then the only thing that usually accomplishes is that it gives them the ability to justify the skeptical thoughts that they already had even faster than they would have before. You don’t even have a chance of getting them to see the real value that you and your opportunity have to offer them, because at this point their mind is shut off from the idea since they feel as though they have already found their answer.
This is exactly why your Numis, USANA, or ViSalus company distributor page is literally causing you to lose money that you should be earning. Sure, you may get some leads from it, and maybe one or two new distributors as well(out of hundreds or thousands of leads)… but chances are that you would be getting much, much better results if you simplified your approach.

Using the “Magnifying Glass Approach” to rapidly grow your business.
So what do I mean by using the “Magnifying Glass Approach” to building your business? Well, just like if you were to take a magnifying glass outside and focus the sun’s energy to light a piece of paper on fire, you can literally use this same concept to create massive growth in your business. If you don’t have a laser-guided focus on the components that REALLY generate the big bucks coming into your business, you will most likely end up like the other 97% of marketers who are burnt out and broke, and forced to go back to their J.O.B.
You can write a new blog post or article, add 30 new friends on Facebook and Myspace, post a new video to youtube, and think of a million new ideas for affiliate offers every single day… but if none of these things are teamed up with FOCUS and a LIST, then you’re results are probably going down the drain.
There is one of the key components to focus on that I just mentioned: Your List!
If you are not consistently growing your list and building relationships with the people on that list, then you are missing out on 99% of the potential profits you could be enjoying right now in your business. Plain and simple.
Without a list of qualified prospects that are constantly coming to your websites and receiving your e-mails, your blog is virtually worthless, your Youtube channel is doing nothing more than getting you some spam comments from people trying to sell you, and your Social Media Accounts are probably full of “friends” who don’t really care what you have to say.
If you take a piece of paper (your business) and throw it out in the middle of a parking lot(the internet), it won’t catch on fire. The sun may be shining on it(your determination), but unless our planet gets a lot closer to the sun, it simply is not going to catch fire. Even if you pour gasoline all over it(your blog posts, facebook efforts, etc) it still won’t ignite a flame.
Your business will sit there, soaked in tons of your blood, sweat, and tears, and it will barely move an inch.
The AWESOME part about this:
You can still choose to grab that magnifying glass at anytime (preferably NOW) and FOCUS the sun’s energy (build your list and market properly to that list) and you can light that piece of paper on fire so rapidly that it will start catching those other little pieces of paper that are laying around it in that parking lot on fire, and before you know it, you will have a massive inferno on your hands. =0)
That my friends, is what a simple shift in focus can do for you.
If you do not already have your magnifying glass rocking and rolling, grab it now, and go after your goals.
Yours in success and fulfillment,
Ryan DJ Johnson
P.S. If you are ready to laser-focus your business and get the results you deserve, leave me a comment or find me on Facebook and let’s talk.
Are You All Alone In Your Business?
See how most Marketers really are alone in their efforts of building their business and paycheck.
Yes, my good friends it is true…. Many and most Marketers out there today are actually left all alone, stranded in the desert of mediocre success in their Home Based Business. So you might be thinking “How is that Ryan? I have a huge upline and downline that is there for me whenever I need them.”
Let me explain…
I am sure that most of you, if not all of you have an upline and a “team” which you may even talk to on a regular basis. Your upline and organization may be there to take a 3-way call, or talk to your prospects at the weekly hotel meeting, or host the Super Saturday Trainings, but it’s still unlikely that you’re getting the true results that you should be.
Most of us have strengths and weaknesses in our skills that help build our business. The problem that 95% of Marketers face is that their team really doesn’t balance out each others’ strengths and weaknesses, in order to achieve results better, and much faster. Even if you just had one, single partner in your team that has strengths in some skills that maybe you do not, and you worked closely with them to help each other, this would almost instantly raise the level of success you would have. Now sure, maybe your upline is a little better than you at talking to your prospects on the phone, or maybe another member of your organization is better at internet marketing, or maybe you’re missing that one person in your group that has that one skill that could make a huge difference in everyone’s results.
I have never seen a successful company that did not have people with specific skills in specific categories that all worked together to make the company whole.
The real point I’m trying to make here is this: Anyone looking to have true success and wealth in any business, and especially Network Marketing, needs a well balanced team around them that can rely on each other 24/7, 365 days a year. If you don’t have this in your business then you are missing out on more money and time than you can imagine. I have found this to be even more prevalent when it comes to Online Marketing and building a Home Based Business Online, which is why I began to seek out individuals that had skills that I did not have.
When I first began building my business online, I quickly realized how much information there was out there and how many things I needed to learn in order to really generate some serious results in my bank account, and do it FAST. I immediately began seeking out individuals that had experience and skills that I did not have, and people who also needed the type of skills that I had. Once this team began to come together and we began working together, the goals we set were accomplished literally in 75% less time than when I was doing things on my own.
What I feel is even more important when you have a successful team, is that you then have the ability to offer a ton of value to any person that is thinking about joining your group as they can also reap the rewards of having that team with them. This is going to make it even more simple to build your business, sponsoring more members, and growing your bank account because your team will offer more value to your prospects than any other group or company out there.
Now you may have that little thought-bubble above your head right now, wondering how to begin looking for people to build this team around you, so you can start generating results. If you’re thinking something similar to that, check out the web page below and enter your name and email in the box on that page and I’ll be glad to help.

Are You Really Working As Hard As You Should Be?
Hey everyone! Before I begin, I first just wanted to say that this is going to be a short and sweet post this evening, only because I want the point of this post to be very personal for each of you by the time you are done reading this. Please relate this to yourself and dig deep! OK, on with the show….
The point of today’s post is something I am sure all of you know and probably think of on a daily basis, but still I believe it to be one of the single most important factors in any person’s success in life. This factor is the single driving element in my day to day life that always pushes me to do more. What am I talking about??
Drum roll………..
Finding your “Why” and staying true to that. I can’t stress enough how important this is, and this is something you will hear me talk about a lot, and with good reason. If you don’t have a crystal clear reason in your mind as to why you want to take your business to the next level and you want to succeed in your opportunity, before you do anything else with your business, sit down with a pen and paper or on your PC and write out exactly what it is you want out of your business and successes. I don’t just mean things like “I want to make a lot of money” or “I want to bring my spouse home from work and have more money for my family.” I mean dig deep inside and get emotional with it if you need to!
You need to find out what you really want! You might be sitting there thinking “Well I know what I want…. I want more money” or “I want a better relationship with my spouse” or “I want money to put away for my kid’s college fund.” Well, to be honest….that’s not what you really want! What you really want is the feeling that you get from achieving that goal.
My “Why” is pretty simple, but it also resulted in linking a lot of other purposes and goals to the reason I wanted to do the things I do in my Home Based Business. For me, I began in the MLM industry after my life, and my family’s life took a very large turn in 2005 when we lost my older brother and lifetime role model, Adam, to the war in Iraq. At this point in my life, I really began looking at the results I felt I was going to have down the road, if I continued on the same path I was on. Not that I was heading in a poor direction, but I knew that I needed to drastically change my outlook and my approach if I was ever going to get where I really wanted to be. I knew that my brother would have smacked me right in the back of the head if he found out that I wasn’t doing my best to really achieve my goals. After all, Michael Jordan and Bill Gates didn’t get where they are today by giving only 80% of what they had did they? Of course the answer is no!
Every single day, I look at my brother’s picture of him in Iraq, standing on top of his hummer with a hugely confident smile on his face and a thumbs up to the camera and I remind myself of my true “Why.” I remind myself that I want the best for my family, my friends, and myself, just as he did. Eventually, if I think about it long enough and I really envision every single detail of my goals and helping the people in my life, I always come down to a handful of feelings that come from achieving those goals. Remember, the feelings you get from achieving whatever it is you want to achieve are the real result goal. The largest, and single most important feeling for me that I come to find each time I think about my goals is peace. The peace I will have knowing that I did my best. The peace knowing that I provided the best that I could for my family and that when I have children, they will never have to experience any type of financial insecurity or stress; but rather, they’ll be able to focus on developing themselves and chasing their true passions in life.
I can go on and on but the point here is not to tell you about my goals and why I have them. The point here is to give you an idea of how important your “Why” is and why you need to make it a powerful one. I know it is one of the primary things that keeps me striving to do more each day. Please, take the time for yourself, and your loved ones and really sit down and think about what exactly your passion is and why you want to achieve and accomplish the things that you do. Find your True “Why.”
Until next time,

Is Your MLM Company Better Than Mine?
I don’t know how many times I have heard something pertaining to a topic like that come out of someone’s mouth. Many people feel that the company they are involved with is what makes the difference in whether or not they will be successful. Furthermore, they push this viewpoint onto other people, and usually will have limited success in doing so.
Trust me, I’m a big believer that you need a good company with good leadership that you can trust. I also believe that having a product you strongly believe in is a very important factor and sure a great compensation plan is always helpful. But, here comes the shocker for a lot of people…..
99% of people you talk to about your business, your awesome compensation plan, patented products, and record growth…… DO NOT CARE!!!
Crazy? Trust me I know I thought the same thing when I heard that over a year and six months ago! But let’s think about it for a second shall we? I’ll use a personal experience of mine to illustrate this for you, and then I want you to relate this to an experience in your life so it becomes personal for you as well and in turn, my point will be more clear to you.
OK, let’s get started. When I was in high school I was huge into cars and racing. I still am, but I mean at that time in my life that was my major hobby and what took up most of my free time. My friends and I all had similar cars and all drove around together going to the various car shows and racing events at the local tracks. I became heavily involved in a type of racing called Drifting, which many of you may know of. Through the events at the race track, I met a guy named Mike and we are still friends to this day. Well Mike was an awesome driver and had quite a bit of experience in Drifting and soon, many people began hanging around Mike and asking him for pointers and tips on how they could become better drivers and get better at Drifting as well. I was one of those people and I quickly began to look up to Mike because I saw him as having some value to me since he was much better at Drifting than I was and I could learn from him and become better at Drifting myself.
Well fast forward a few months of practice and having Mike to show me some really valuable pointers and tricks of the trade, and I was actually getting pretty good at Drifting and my overall driving skills were improving! And wouldn’t you know it…my other friends began asking me for tips and pointers and looking up to me for answers!
My point here is this…. just like your business and my business, no one cares about your company, until they feel that you as their potential upline have something to offer them and you can help them achieve the goals they have. I could have tried to get better at Drifting by trying to learn from all of my other friends, but it wouldn’t have done me too much good since they were all at the same level as I was. I had to seek out a LEADER who had more skill than me, so I could learn from him.
If people and prospects don’t currently see YOU as having the ability to teach them and raise them from where they are, to where they want to be, they will most likely NEVER take a serious look at your business. Until people begin to view you as a leader and as someone who is maybe even just a small, tiny bit better than they are at something, they will pass right by you and go on to someone else. So if the question you might be asking yourself right now is something like “This all sounds good but if I don’t feel like I have anything to offer prospects and teach them, what do I do?”
GOOD QUESTION! I’m glad to say that the answer is pretty simple. Invest some time and maybe even a few dollars into a simple online training program or system, or an e-book from someone that has had some success (or the success you desire to have) in the MLM and Home Based Business industry. Many of these systems will even offer you a path to profit financially almost instantly as you learn from them, so keep that in mind.
That just about wraps it up for today! I look forward to talking to many of you that consistently contact me and I’ll see you on the next lesson!

—-P.S.- Since we talked a little about the importance of self education, training and growth today, I highly recommend you check out my good friend Jonathan Budd’s video on the link below. This young guy will give you some of the industry’s best information out there!
Persistence: Why is it so important?
Persistence is something we all know of and something that we all know is important. I know…”duh Ryan!” But what makes persistence so important anyway? Well let me start by having you ask yourself a few questions…
Have you ever made a new years resolution and never fully followed through with it? In the past, have you ever said you were going to lose weight or start exercising and eating healthier but like many people, “tried” for a week or a month and dropped it? Let’s take this one step further and closer to something I’m really talking about. Have you ever started a business venture of any kind, whether it be a MLM company or a traditional brick and mortar business, and maybe not have worked at it as hard as you know you should? Or maybe you worked hard at it…but only here and there and not daily or on a consistent basis.
The connection I’m trying to get you to make in your mind is this: Without being persistent in your business, you can’t expect to have the success you want and deserve. Let me give you a personal example that I myself experienced.
A little over 3 years ago, when I became involved in my first Network Marketing business, I had huge goals and hopes of being a top income earner in my company and doing it very fast. One thing I had noticed, was that with everything I did in my life, if I kept it organized and stayed goal-oriented with it, I would do better than if I did not stay organized, etc. So what I came up with is I went out and bought this white, dry-erase board and wrote all of my goals and actions I was going to take to achieve those goals, on this board. These goals were actually pretty simple ones to start out and should have been easily achieved within a month to two months. The problem was that I would work on my business only when I was in a mood of being so sick and tired of being broke and working a job I wasn’t happy with that I felt I absolutely had to get out and work for myself. These moods would really only occur when something really irritated me or I really wanted to buy something that I couldn’t really afford right then. Needless to say, I rarely worked hard on my business.
This probably sounds pretty familiar to many of you reading this right now. At least maybe in the past, right?
Here is what finally made me realize I needed to really stay Persistent in working at my business:
One day, while I was in one of those moods, I happened to walk by and glance at that dry-erase board that had sat on my desk, leaning against the wall. As I glanced at it, I noticed two things:
- The darn thing had sat there so long untouched that it had collected a nice layer of dust on the top of it.
- Not one of the goals or actions I had written down on it had even been crossed off because I never stayed persistent enough to even reach one of them.
At that exact time, I made myself a promise. I promised myself (and mentally I promised my family) that I would work at least 30 minutes a day at building my business and that I would also grow myself in every aspect of marketing possible in order to increase my level of success as much as possible.
Just to give you an idea of what 30-45 minutes a day for 30 days resulted in for my business:
- I personally sponsored 3 new people.
- I then helped 2 of those 3 people sponsor 1 person each.
- I began changing my overall mindset and marketing strategy which was the turning point that really put me on the path to being where I am today.
- I increased my value to others and began to attract even more people to me and my business.
Now, these results may not seem to be too big but compared to where I was for the first half of the time spent in my opportunity, making no money and actually wasting money every time I would get myself fired up and decide to work on my business some, this was definitely a very large step in the right direction. From that point on, I have always stayed 100% committed and persistent to growing my business daily. That has evolved into fulfilling those promises I made to myself and my family.
In conclusion, this may be a pretty simple and almost obvious point I am trying to make to you but it is absolutely critical to your business, and more importantly to you and your family. Take the step now to stay persistent and committed each day and I assure you, you’ll see the results you’ve been looking for.
See you on our next lesson,

enough to even reach one of them.
How Appearing as a Leader is Imperative to Generating Leads and Making Your Prospects Trust You
After close to 2 years of this agonizing process repeating itself, I finally decided I was going to find out how they were doing it no matter what. The company had always showcased these top distributors and told us the steps that they took to get there. The fault in that was the steps they were showing us were just the mechanics of it all and not the psychological part of things that really made them get to that point. And that’s exactly what I began to find out. You can go out and hand out all the fliers you want, talk to all of your friends, family, and coworkers, and go to every weekly meeting there is. But, if in this process you don’t actually project yourself as a leader, you’ll probably have a very low success rate.
Think about it…all of these people in any network marketing opportunity who have made it to the top income spots, always look, act, speak and move like a leader. Now you may be wondering, “well how do I make myself appear as a leader?” Well that’s a great question and one that we will cover more in detail on our next lesson. The important point right now is just that you understand the true importance of appearing as a leader to your prospects and your downline and here’s the real point to remember for today’s lesson…
When a prospect makes a decision about any company, they rarely, rarely, rarely ever make a decision based on what they know about that company, but instead they make that decision based on how exactly they feel about YOU.
It does not matter how great your company is, if your prospect does not feel that they can trust you, and that you have what it takes to take them where they want to go and help them succeed.
That’s the key point for today and I want you to really think about this and how you have seen examples of this in your own life. We’ll talk more about how you can make yourself appear as a leader to your prospects on our next lesson.
Better Sponsoring Systems: How to Sound More Appealing to Your Prospects and Increase Your Overall Conversions
Whether marketing yourself online or traditionally, speaking in a benefits style rather than a features style is crucial to anyone. If when you talk to someone about your business or anything in life, you talk in mostly features, it does not make a true connection with your audience. Think about what has really “sold” you on something in the past and what about it had an effect on you as you read this article.
First, let’s define the difference between a feature and a benefit. A feature is anything that does not have to do with the client or prospect themselves, but rather talks just about the business. This includes things dealing with only your company, your product, or your compensation plan. These are things that are “outside of the prospect.”Some examples of features would be:
Our company has the best compensation plan and pays the highest commissions.
Our product is patented.
Our company has been in business for 25 years.
A benefit on the other hand, is anything that solely has to do with the prospect. This includes anything that will directly effect them personally and usually compliments the benefits. Some examples of benefits would be:
Our company has the best compensation plan and pays the highest commissions—- so that your work can pay off more for you and you can bring more money home to your family.
Our product is patented—- so you know that no matter what other product another company has to offer, yours will be unique so that you will always feel good about what you have to offer to your prospects.
Our company has been in business for 25 years—- so you can feel comfortable knowing that we are well established and will always be here for you.
In these examples I separated the features from the benefits by using the dashes. These are just a few general examples of features and benefits of course.
The reason using benefits is much more appealing to your audience is because it causes an actual emotional trigger that makes them relate to whatever it is that you’re presenting them. A very important and imperative point to remember is that your prospects are always, constantly thinking one thing whether its consciously or sub-consciously: “What’s in it for me?” That is what everything boils down to no matter what a person is being presented. The first thing that a prospect will want answered in their mind is “What’s in it for me?” So constantly remind yourself of that whenever you are talking to someone about anything you are trying to present to them. You’ll always want to try to use more benefits than you do features.
If you’re ever speaking to a potential client in anyway, whether it’s in an e-mail, on the phone, or in person, always ask the question “What’s in it for me?” at the end of every feature/benefit you give that prospect. Remember, a lot of prospects may already have knowledge of Network Marketing or MLM, and to them a lot of the features will make sense and they’ll be able to see the benefits themselves. But, also remember that a lot of prospects will not have much knowledge of Network Marketing or MLM and may be completely new to it, and will need those added details to really make a connection and see what you have to offer them. This is something we all know we just may not be utilizing it.
If you haven’t been using this simple skill when talking to prospects or marketing your business, then you may have noticed you’ve been getting a lot more rejections than you have positive feedback or people joining your business. If you’re new to network marketing, then now is the time to immediately start out using this simple skill to really increase your success rate right from the beginning. Today is the day to take a new approach and make a positive change in your life and the people’s lives around you.
See you on the next lesson.
